Compact, self-contained unit. Full color flat-panel liquid crystal display (LCD). Includes standard built-in approachable GPs receiver certified to TSO C-129, Class A1/B1/C1. Built-in Fault Detection and Exclusion (FDE) capability allows for primary means GPs navigation for transoceanic and remote-area operation. Designed for analog or digital aircraft.
External sensor interfaces include: VOR and DME, TACAN and IRS/INS. Provides complete navigation capability including long range great circle en route, terminal, approach, and vertical navigation (VNAV) capabilities that can automatically draw from an internal database. Automatically selects the best VOR and DME stations depending on strength and location. Keyboard features separate alpha and numeric keys for easy data entry. Radio management capability tunes comms, navs, ADF, and transponder. Built in data loader PCMCIA data card (credit-card-size). AFIS compatible. Supplies information to EGPWS and is BRNAV, RNP5 and RNP10 compliant. Supports company routes database.
